Part-Time Employees

The law now requires that part-time employees are treated no differently than full-time employees and that they have access to the same conditions of employment and benefits, including hourly rates of pay as their full-time comparators.

Many employers believe that they treat their part-time and full-time employees in the same manner, but it is only when they undertake a review that differences emerge.

Prevention is always better than cure and it is sensible to carry out such a review of the way in which different groups of staff are treated.
