Driving Licence Checks

What does your company’s insurance policy state about who is allowed to drive a company vehicle? Have you recently reminded your drivers of this condition?

Regular checks of the driving licences of individuals who are allowed to drive your vehicles will ensure that everyone holds a valid driving licence. It is a basic requirement of allowing employees to use cars as part of their business activities that you can show that you have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that everyone who drives, holds a valid driving licence and is a competent driver. This applies equally to all drivers (rental cars and to an employee using his own car whilst on business).
