Mobile
Phones
Much has been said and written about this topic but what action have
YOU taken?
It is now an offence to use a hand-held mobile phone whilst driving.
Any driver who uses a hand-held phone whilst driving runs the risk
of at least a fine. Where the police believe that his employer
has not taken
the appropriate steps in preventing the employee from using the hand-held
phone, the Managing Director could also be prosecuted.
Furthermore,
drivers who have a road traffic accident at work whilst using a hand-held
mobile phone, will expose both themselves and their senior management
to the risk of prosecution as well as to the risk of their insurance
being invalidated.
